The drivers itself are in dynamic libraries and nearly all printer information they work with is in an XML database, so that when the driver root is once built into Ghostscript, new drivers can be added without Ghostscript rebuild the first plug-in approach for Ghostscript drivers. OMNI Driver Model for Ghostscript Printing

I also tried to follow that readme though it’s for an outdated version, v0. Being unfamiliar with a lot of western people, this printer oni one of the very widely used dot-matrix printer in China. There is still a SourceForge project where version 0. I tried the same on another computer, and destoried yast on that computer too. I was advised by one of the SUSE people to do this. I installed omni from using ‘rpm -i’ instead of yast2, Reason: Initial code for that is already in the package.
It ghostsrcipt also planned to add run-time integration of printers described by UPDF files.
